Geoff Bastian
3Degrees

Based in Portland, Oregon, Geoff plays a key role in 3Degrees' utility partnership marketing efforts across the country by collecting, innovating on, and replicating best practices in order to improve program participation. This work includes 3Degrees' national community outreach efforts, where Geoff's unique and specialized knowledge has helped 3Degrees build and then replicate successful outreach models throughout the country. Geoff holds a Master's in Business Administration from Bainbridge Graduate Institute with a focus on Sustainable Business.

Max Baumhefner
Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC)

Max is an Attorney in the Natural Resources Defense Council's Energy and Transportation Program. He is an expert on utility electric vehicle policy.

Robyn Beavers
Vestas

Robyn Beavers works for Vestas, where she helps accelerate the rapid deployment of large scale wind farms as a means of mitigating climate change. She also is currently incubating an internal non-profit dedicated to helping companies understand where they acquire their power and the effects of those acquisitions. Previously, she worked at Google directly under Larry Page and Sergey Brin, where she was in charge of greening Google's operations. Robyn holds an MBA from Stanford University and a B.S. from Stanford University in Civil and Environmental Engineering.

Lori Bird
National Renewable Energy Laboratory

Lori Bird is a senior analyst with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado, specializing in the area of renewable energy markets and policy. She has authored or co-authored publications on renewable energy policy, REC markets, voluntary utility programs, renewable portfolio standards, and the role of renewables in carbon markets. Her work has appeared in journals such as: Energy Policy, The Electricity Journal, and Corporate Environmental Strategy. Before joining NREL, she worked for the Department of Energy and Hagler Bailly Consulting. She holds a master's in Environmental Studies from Yale University's School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.

Robert Boller
Jackson Family Wines

Robert has over twenty-two years of wine business experience in a broad spectrum of positions split evenly between operations, marketing and sales. The last nine years at Jackson Family Wines, owners of Kendall-Jackson, include roles as Vice President of Sustainability, Production and Marketing. He's developed and implemented the Corporate Responsibility program at JFW. The platform is based on 3rd-party certifications from the LEED, ISO 14001 and Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing (CCSW) standards using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework for accounting. Robert is a certified auditor for ISO and GRI.

Adam Boucher
Adam Capital

As CEO and Founder of Adam Capital, Adam specializes in bridging the financing gaps for distributed scale solar developers. The company has delivered over $16 million in loans in 2011, and funded over 1200 solar projects across 3 states, including one of the largest rooftop mounted solar projects in Los Angeles. He is a recognized leader in the field of renewable energy finance and an engaging speaker who is passionate about finding financial solutions to scale solar energy. Adam offers strategic expertise based on his experience with financing, tax incentives, utility rebates, deal structuring, and attracting institutional investors.

Jared Braslawsky
RECS International

Jared Braslawsky has a background in both the studies of environment and politics. After working on a U.S. congressional campaign in California he focused on energy; what he saw as the combination of environmental and political sciences. During his studies at Utrecht University Netherlands he became associated with RECS International and took an interest in the European Guarantee of Origin (GO) Market. Jared joined RECS International in 2010 but is still associated with the research of GO markets at Utrecht University, where he received his Master's in Energy Sciences. He currently works directly under Peter Niermeijer, Secretary General of RECS International.

Stasia Brownell
3Degrees

Based in Portland, Oregon, Stasia supports 3Degrees' partnership with Pacific Power's Blue Sky program. Focusing on Blue Sky's success as it moves into its second decade, her work includes marketing strategy, project coordination, copywriting, and event planning. From the beginning, Stasia has been invested in Call Center challenges including design, strategy, implementation, training, tracking and recognition systems, and launching new initiatives. In her fourth year with 3Degrees, she's excited to share successful tactics with her peers. Stasia graduated Lambda Pi Eta with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Portland State University.

Jay Carlis
Community Energy, Inc.

Jay Carlis is Vice President at Community Energy, Inc. and responsible for managing day-to-day operations for CEI's Retail Division. This includes Mass Market Green Power sales in 22 utility territories; direct sales of RECs to Commercial & Institutional customers and behind-the-meter solar applications. In 2009, Jay led the successful development of CEI's first solar projects at Eastern University and Smith College. Jay is also President of the Renewable Energy Markets Association. Jay has a MBA in Marketing and Sustainable Enterprise from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Matt Clouse
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

Matt Clouse has more than a decade of experience in renewable energy policy, markets, and programs. He has spoken before domestic and international policy-makers and worked with a broad range of organizations to build demand for renewable energy in the U.S. In addition to oversight and advisory responsibilities in the areas of CHP and corporate GHG mitigation, Mr. Clouse plays a leading role in EPA's consideration of renewable energy technologies and policies to promote them. He holds a Masters in Energy and Environmental Policy from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the College of Wooster.

Brandi Colander
NRDC

Brandi Colander is an attorney with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), an international environmental non-profit with over 300 scientists, attorneys and 1.3 million members headquartered in New York City. Working with NRDC's Energy & Transportation group, her expertise in energy policy focuses on industry restructuring and utility regulation, energy efficiency, the "smart grid" and renewable energy programs - specifically offshore wind. Prior to NRDC, Colander worked at a private law firm in Connecticut. She earned her Master's degree at Yale University, Juris Doctor at Vermont Law School and Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia. Colander is a graduate of the New York City Environmental Law Leadership Institute and an Environmental Leadership Program Fellow. She currently serves on New York City Bar Association's International Environmental Law Committee, as well as a board member of Green-e, ioby (in our backyards), a New York based micro-philanthropic environmental non-profit and the Virginia Club's Board of Directors.

Blaine Collison
United States Environmental Protection Agency

Blaine Collison is the director of the United States Environmental Protection Agency's Green Power Partnership. Since joining the EPA in 1996, Mr. Collison has managed energy efficiency efforts in residential new construction, consumer product labeling, and commercial and institutional building management. Collison lead EPA's initial engagement of institutional investors as drivers of corporate climate change performance. Prior to joining EPA, Mr. Collison was the Associate Director of the Sustainable Buildings Industries Council and worked for Congressman Mel Levine (CA) on Capitol Hill. Mr. Collison has a political science degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.

Brendan Cook
Center for Resource Solutions

Brendan is the Program Analyst for Green-e Marketplace at the Center for Resource Solutions, providing organizations with tactics for renewable energy excellence. He received his Master of Science in Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management from the European Commission at Lund University in Sweden and a B.A. in Environmental Sciences and Policy from the University of Arizona. Previously, Brendan has worked in the US, Europe and Asia finding sustainable solutions ranging renewable energy to rainwater harvesting.

Ryan Cook
Clear Energy Brokerage & Consulting LLC

Clear Energy is a boutique environmental commodities brokerage and consulting firm based in New York that focuses on the spot and long term renewable energy and renewable energy credits (RECs) markets. Ryan currently focuses on the Midwest & PJM power and REC markets in addition to his operational responsibilities. Ryan graduated from Indiana University with an MBA in Finance and from Hope College with a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration. He currently resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he is an active volunteer in the community, serving on several boards and committees.

Megan Walseth Decker
Renewable Northwest Project

Since 2010, Megan Decker has managed Renewable Northwest Project's advocacy before state utility commissions in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana. Megan also works on a variety of other renewable energy policy issues, including those affecting the voluntary renewable energy market, and serves on the Green-e Governance Board. Prior to joining RNP, Megan practiced land use and appellate law at an Oregon law firm. Before that, she clerked for the federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Megan received a J.D. from University of Washington School of Law and a B.A. from Stanford University.

Derek Denniston
Alta Power Group, LLC

Derek Denniston is Managing Director of Alta Power Group, LLC. Derek founded Alta Power Group as a boutique advisory firm to provide clients with expert commercial advisory services on transacting renewable power throughout the western power market. Derek has successfully originated, structured and negotiated renewable power purchase agreements for more than 1,600 MW of new generation capacity with a total transaction value exceeding $10 Billion. Derek also serves as Vice Chair on the Western Renewable Energy Generation Information System (WREGIS) Committee, the supervisory body for the tracking system for renewable energy throughout the WECC. Previously, Derek held positions with Evolution Markets, PG&E, AES and U.S. Generating Company. Derek earned his MBA and Master's of Environmental Management from Yale.

Michel Di Capua
Bloomberg New Energy Finance

Michel Di Capua is Head of US Analysis for Bloomberg New Energy Finance, based in New York City. In his current capacity he oversees an analyst team focused on research and analysis into clean energy. This includes the production of in-depth reports and development of dedicated carbon, REC, and renewable energy forecasting models. Michel's previous professional experience includes solar energy project development with Tata Power in India and strategy consulting for the telecom industry. Michel has an undergraduate degree in Physics from Harvard, a Masters in Literature from Columbia, and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Tom Dinkel
SunReports

Tom Dinkel, CEO of SunReports, a provider of performance monitoring solutions for residential and small commercial solar installations, has over 20 years of experience in the renewable energy and cleantech sector. He's held leadership roles at Honeywell and Johnson Controls, and has been active on both the utility- and customer-side of the energy meter industry throughout his career. During a stint at Whisper Communications in the mid-90s, Tom helped define the AMI, SmartGrid and SmartMetering markets, securing projects with Portland General Electric and BC Gas. Tom also helped establish FatSpaniel as a leader in solar monitoring during its infancy.

Brian Dougherty
Celery Design Collaborative

Brian Dougherty is a founding partner and creative director at Celery Design Collaborative. He focuses on creating communications that have a positive impact in the world. From studios in California and Paris, France, Celery helps clients craft CSR communications, online communities of action, eco-innovative packaging, and interactive exhibits. Clients include HP, Autodesk, Camper Shoes, and the new Cradle to Cradle Institute. Brian lecturers frequently around the world on the subject of sustainable design. Brian is the author of the book Green Graphic Design, which came out in 2009 and will be published in Brazil and Italy later this year.

Cindy Drucker

Cindy Drucker is responsible for providing global leadership for the development and implementation of environmental and sustainable policies, strategies and actions for S. C. Johnson & Son, Inc. headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin. A leading provider of innovative consumer products such as Windex©, Glade©, OFF!© and Ziploc©, SC Johnson is a fifth generation, family-owned company with a global workforce in more than 70 countries. Cindy has a master's degree in public policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

Erin Eckenrod
EDP Renewables North America

Erin Eckenrod is currently the REC Marketing and Origination Manager for EDP Renewables North America. She is responsible for the strategy and Marketing of Renewable Energy Credits from existing and proposed wind farms. Prior to joining Horizon Wind, Erin Eckenrod headed Renewable Energy Credit Trading at Element Markets and established the crude and cross-commodity trading group at Kingstree Trading. As a member of Shell Trading's Risk Products Marketing group she was responsible for structuring natural gas and power transactions for industrial end users and producers. Erin is a CFA Charterholder, holds a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Peggy Foran
The Climate Registry

Peggy Foran manages the development and design of The Registry's GHG accounting and reporting policies. In this role, she facilitates consensus across stakeholders on best practices in GHG accounting. Ms. Foran has additionally participated in the development of mandatory and voluntary GHG reporting requirements for the Western Climate Initiative, the World Resources Institute and the State of California, among others. Ms. Foran has six years of experience in energy and climate. Prior to joining The Climate Registry, Ms. Foran held positions with D&R International, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's ENERGY STAR Program and the Consumer Energy Council of America.

Frederick Isleib, CFA
Nexant

Fred serves as the Director of Research, Clean Energy Markets, where his responsibility is to assess supply demand in multiple renewable energy markets. In addition, helps drive numerous growth initiatives. Prior to Nexant, Fred served 17 years at Putnam Investments, there Fred held numerous positions; including Mid Cap Growth Industrial Analyst. He was responsible for over 150 investable names in the benchmark and had positive attribution across the funds. Fred earned his undergraduate degree in Accountancy from Bentley University and a MBA from Babson College. Fred also successfully passed the Certified Financial Analyst Exam

Benjamin Foster
Optony, Inc.

Ben Foster is the Senior Vice President for Optony Inc., the leading international provider of independent solar lifecycle management services for commercial and governmental projects. He is responsible for driving positive change for the environment while enabling the solar energy market, system owners and investors to achieve long-term value while lowering project risks. As an industry leader, Ben has led many collaborative efforts to improve best practices and deploy them across the United States and in China including federally-funded projects with the Department of Energy, the EPA and the Solar Center at Peking University.

Matt Gedney
Unicoi Energy Services

Matt Gedney works with various clients and partners to provide technical, business and financial services for development and support of biomass and other energy projects. He received his BS in Political Science from North Georgia College and Masters in Finance from Georgia State University. Previously, Matt worked as a stonemason in Alaska and Georgia, in research management at Georgia Tech, and as manager of contracts and intellectual property at an Internet technology start-up that successfully went public. Matt is author of two books on Georgia's Gold Rush and Appalachian history.

Mr. Gero previously managed the Green LA programs for the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power which included the energy efficiency, solar photovoltaic, tree planting, electric vehicle, and related initiatives.

Dian M. Grueneich
Morrison & Foerster

Dian M. Grueneich is a nationally recognized expert in energy and environmental issues, with more than 33 years' experience. Her focus is on energy efficiency, climate change, renewable energy resources, transmission planning and permitting, demand response, and advanced meter infrastructure (smart grid). Ms. Grueneich assists clients in navigating the complex and rapidly evolving energy regulatory structure in California, the Western Untied States, nationally, and internationally. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Ms. Grueneich served as a Commissioner on the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) from 2005-2010. Ms. Grueneich has served on the U.S. Department of Energy Electricity Advisory Committee from 2008-present.

Veronica Harris

Veronica Harris is Community Energy's Marketing Manager. She is responsible for corporate messaging and promotional support to commercial and small business customers. Veronica handles commercial and small business sales and serves as Product Specialist for CEI's Carbon Offset and LEED Green Power products. She has a BS from The Pennsylvania State University in Business Management and worked in non-profit environmental education prior to joining CE in 2007.

Andrea Hart
City of Palo Alto Utilities

Originally from the southeast, Andrea Hart made her way to San Francisco three years ago and began work at the City of Palo Alto Utilities (CPAU) as Residential Utility Account Representative. Since then, she's been busy managing the numerous residential programs, most of which entail energy efficiency incentives and measures. Additionally, she runs and manages the nationally ranked 100% renewable energy program, PaloAltoGreen. Andrea was recently named one of American Public Power Association's Future Public Power Leaders which is awarded to public power employees under the age of 40 who show potential in a successful career in public power.

Sherren Harter
Green Mountain Energy Company

Sherren Harter is the Marketing Manager for Green Mountain Energy Company, the nation's leading competitive retail provider of cleaner energy and carbon offset solutions. She is responsible for leading consumer insights-driven marketing plans for Green Mountain's residential customers. Sherren's background prior to joining Green Mountain includes brand management in the consumer packaged goods industry and consulting experience. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA and an MBA.

Claes Hedenström
Vattenfall AB/RECS International

Claes Hedenström has a Master of Science in Engineering Physics and a degree in Human Ecology. He has been employed by Vattenfall AB since 1982. He was the Regulatory Affairs coordinator at Vattenfall Trading Services, which included lobbying activities towards the EU Commission, national governments, regulators, TSO's etc. In 2008 he became senior advisor at Vattenfall Nordic focusing on renewable energy, energy efficiency and electricity wholesale market. Today he is the Head of Regulatory Affairs at Vattenfall for the Swedish market.  Claes Hedenström is the chairman of RECS International since June 2004 (235 members in 24 countries) promoting a pan-European market for renewable facilitated by certificates. Claes Hedenström is also a saxophonist leading a jazz quintet called JazzSupport.

Jenny Heeter
National Renewable Energy Laboratory

Jenny Heeter is an energy analyst at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). She focuses her research on the voluntary renewable energy market. She also analyzes REC markets, RPS policies, and issues related to carbon offsets. Prior to joining NREL, she worked for the Indiana Office of Consumer Counselor, representing ratepayer interests in renewable energy and energy efficiency cases brought by utilities before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. She holds an M.P.A. in environmental policy from Indiana University Bloomington's School of Public and Environmental Affairs.

Klaus Heller
BMW Group

Klaus Heller is a Senior Engineer at the BMW Group Technology Office USA in Mountain View, CA which evaluates cutting edge technologies and transfers them to partners within the BMW Group. In the Tech Office, Klaus is responsible for sustainable mobility topics, such as advanced powertrains, energy efficiency and future materials. Prior to his assignment in Mountain View, Klaus worked for BMW's powertrain research group where he developed advanced combustion systems for hydrogen internal combustion engines. Klaus received his Diploma degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Munich University of Applied Science.

Dermot Hikisch
B Corporation

Dermot oversees B Lab's development of Certified B Corporations focusing on North America with new inroads now beginning globally. He is the former Head of Research for ENDS Carbon and Wind Power Intelligence, based out of the UK. His work has included coordinating production of Carbon Intelligence reports, building Climate-related indices for FTSE, sector specific benchmarking and carbon performance ratings on many of the world's largest brands. He has published reports on business and climate change, water insecurity, true cost accounting, and other CSR issues. He has consulted on sustainability for SMEs, multinationals, and municipalities across Europe and North America, and worked on an internal sustainability team while at Procter & Gamble.

Ed Holt
Ed Holt & Associates

Ed Holt is a renewable energy consultant with a focus on green power markets and renewable energy policy. His company, Ed Holt & Associates, Inc. provides strategic and program planning, market analysis, and policy research and analysis for renewable energy to government, utilities and advocacy organizations. When he started consulting, green power was a largely unknown term, and he encouraged utilities--through a newsletter, publications and presentations--to develop voluntary green pricing options for customers. He helped identify best practices and publicized issues relating to green power choice. In 1996, he authored the Green Pricing Resource Guide, since revised and reissued (2004). In 2009, he received the Green Power Pioneer award from the Center for Resource Solutions.

Dan kalafatas

Dan Kalafatas is the President of 3Degrees, a U.S. carbon and renewable energy trading and services firm. Named by Environmental Finance in 2008 as Best Trading Company, the 3Degrees team has offices across the U.S., supports a portfolio of 400 projects, provides over 200 business and utility clients with Renewable Energy Certificates, carbon offsets and compliance instruments, and a host of associated climate and energy consulting services. A native of Massachusetts, Dan has a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College, an MBA from the Stanford University, and is a co-founder of the ACORE Renewable Energy Business Network.

Andrew Kolchins
Renewable Energy Markets

Andrew Kolchins is a Managing Director with Evolution Markets Inc. and leads the company's Renewable Energy Markets division. Mr. Kolchins is a member of the Evolution Markets Inc.'s Management Committee and assists with the strategic direction of the overall business. Based in the firm's New York headquarters, Mr. Kolchins provides brokerage services in the compliance driven state REC markets in the Northeast, Mid Atlantic, MISO and Texas. He provides expert brokerage services for unbundled RECs as well as long term Bundled Green Energy PPA's to renewable energy project developers, green power marketers, traders, utilities, and end users.

Clay Koplin
Cordova Electric Cooperative

Clay is a Graduate of University of Alaska Fairbanks with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He is a Registered Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Alaska. Clay was Staff Engineer at Kodiak Electric Cooperative for 7 years before joining Cordova Electric Cooperative for 13 years as their Manager of Operations and now as CEO. Clay has implemented a Renewable Energy Certificate sales program from Cordova Electric's Green-E certified Power Creek Hydroelectric Project. He has worked with his board of directors to build an innovative Renewable Energy and Efficiency program that has propelled the community of Cordova, Alaska, to 80% renewable energy generation, 100% community LED street lighting, and a culture of energy conservation and efficiency. Clay enjoys community and civic service, hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Bill Layne
SMUD

Bill Layne has been associated with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District's renewable energy programs for the past two decades, first as one of the original program managers for Greenergy and continuing today as the lead for SMUD's customer renewable energy portfolio, which now includes solar and carbon reduction programs. From brown to green, to landfill gas, to thermal, to wind, and now PV, he has worked extensively on virtually all of SMUD's voluntary renewable energy programs. Just recently, his solar group received the Solar Electric Power Association's 2011 Utility Solar Portfolio Leadership award.

Kathy Loftus
Whole Foods Market

Kathy coordinates sustainability programs, including overall Company impact reporting, as well as directs engineering, energy management and maintenance best practices and green building and strategic energy procurement efforts for Whole Foods Market and has been in this role for more than five years. She holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She recently served eight years on the Advisory Committee of the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust and now serves on the State's Large Scale Retail Development Solar, Energy Efficiency & Smart Buildings Committees and is appointed to her town's Renewable Energy Commission. She is also an officer on the Board of Directors of Clean Air-Cool Planet.

Dr. Paul R. MacGregor
Nexant

Dr. MacGregor serves as Senior Vice President for Nexant and leads the Clean Energy Markets Business Unit, one of the largest providers of credits for renewable energy and energy efficiency in the United States. He has over 20 years experience in leading new market and technology developments in the areas of clean energy markets, energy trading and risk management, and electric power systems. Dr. MacGregor has been instrumental in the development of the Energy Efficiency Certificate (EEC) market in the United States, where he has initiated the first EEC transactions in the all the states with programs.

Robert A. Maddox, Jr.
Sterling Planet

Robert A. Maddox, Jr. has over 20 years of experience with energy and environmental issues through his work as a former 7-term State Representative and member of the CT Clean Energy Board. He presently is the Chief Sustainability Officer for Sterling Planet, a company that provides complete environmental solutions through the sale of Renewable Electricity Credits (RECs), Energy Efficiency Credits, and carbon offsets. Mr. Maddox frequently provides expert testimony before several state regulatory commissions. He lives in a high performance permaculture based solar home. Mr. Maddox holds an MBA degree from the University of Connecticut and a BA in Economics from Western Connecticut State University.

Shawn E. Marshall
Marin Energy Authority

Shawn is the Vice Chair of the Marin Energy Authority (MEA), a new joint powers agency that operates California's first community choice aggregation (CCA) program, Marin Clean Energy. The US EPA recently named MEA one of the top 20 renewable energy purchasers in the United States. In addition to her work with Marin Energy Authority, Shawn is co-founder and Executive Director of LEAN Energy US, a new non-profit that exists to support the expansion of community choice aggregation into new communities and states. Shawn also serves on the Mill Valley City Council and was the City's Mayor in 2008.

Jennifer Martin
Center for Resource Solutions

Jennifer Martin is executive director of the Center for Resource Solutions, where she brings over two decades of NGO and private-sector experience in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and electricity and climate change policy and regulation. She is a founding board member of the San Francisco Carbon Collaborative and RE-volv, a member of the WREGIS Stakeholder Advisory Committee, and served as a member of the State-Federal RPS Collaborative Advisory Group and as technical chairperson of the WREGIS Operational Rules Committee.

Ian McGowan
3Degrees

As Manager of Regulatory Affairs, Ian monitors and analyzes renewable energy and climate regulations to assess environmental market risks and opportunities for 3Degrees. Prior to this, Ian was part of 3Degrees' Utility Partnership Services group, where he focused on marketing the green power programs of the City of Palo Alto Utilities and Silicon Valley Power. Ian is Vice President of the Renewable Energy Markets Association, an industry trade association dedicated to strengthening renewable energy markets. Ian holds a B.A. in English from UC Berkeley and was a member of the 2000 U.S. Olympic Team.

Steven Mickelsen
3Degrees Group, Inc.

Steve negotiates structured transactions across 3Degrees' environmental commodity and utility green power partnership portfolios; and tracks and comments on policy issues related to trading and oversight of environmental commodities. Previously, Steve worked as an Attorney-Advisor at the Commodities Futures Trading Commission; and as an associate in the Legal and Compliance department at a San Francisco based investment bank, focusing on compliance with SEC and FINRA rules. Steve earned a JD from the American University, Washington College of Law, and a BA with a concentration in Economics from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.

Steve Mudd is the manager of Windsource from Xcel Energy, one of the oldest and largest voluntary renewable energy programs in the country. Mudd has worked with Xcel Energy for eight years managing several consumer and business products and working in marketing strategy and planning. Prior to Xcel Energy, Mudd held various marketing, finance, and IT roles at broadband provider Level 3 Communications and marketer The Product Line. He also wrote, directed, and produced the feature film "Seclusion,"" now available on DVD. Mudd holds a B.A. in English from the University of Wyoming.

Dennis J. Mullan
DTE Energy

Dennis Mullan manages the GreenCurrents renewable energy program at DTE Energy (NYSE:DTE), a Detroit-based diversified energy company involved in the development and management of energy-related businesses and services nationwide. Mullan has 29 years business experience at DTE Energy serving in the strategic planning, customer marketing and retail sales groups and in the business planning, economic results, and market research organizations. Mullan earned a Bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, a Master's degree in business administration with majors in marketing and finance from the University of Detroit, and a Ph.D. degree in research and management science from Wayne State University.

Heather Mulligan
Puget Sound Energy

Heather has been the Market Manager for Puget Sound Energy's Green Power Program for the past five years. In total, she has nearly 20 years of experience working on programs which support the deployment and use of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies. Prior to joining Puget Sound Energy in 2006, Ms. Mulligan worked as the national and regional coordinator of U.S. Department of Energy's Million Solar Roofs Initiative. Ms. Mulligan has a B.A. in International Relations from the University of San Diego and a Master of Public Policy (M.P.P.) from American University.

Danielle Murray
San Francisco Department of Environment

Danielle Murray is the Renewable Energy Program Manager for the San Francisco Department of Environment, where she leads their efforts on solar, wind and ocean energy in the private sector, and development of the San Francisco 100% Renewable Plan. Previously, Danielle served as Solar Program Coordinator for the City of Toronto and Toronto Atmospheric Fund, and as a researcher at the Earth Policy Institute in Washington DC, writing on food, energy, and climate change. Danielle holds a B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University and M.Sc. in Planning and Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto.

Tyler O'Farrell
Puget Sound Energy

Tyler O'Farrell has over 7 years of utility experience and has provided direct support for the Customer Renewable Energy Programs group at Puget Sound Energy for the last two and a half years. He is responsible for the qualitative and quantitative data reporting for the Green Power Program as well as their Carbon Offset program. Tyler has his BA in Social Psychology and Advertising from Washington State University.

Robin Quarrier
Center for Resource Solutions

In her role as CRS Counsel, Robin Quarrier manages the Green-e intellectual property portfolio and a range of legal issues from contract negotiations to marketing claims. Ms. Quarrier manages a semi-annual compliance review of marketing materials for renewable energy and assists with verification of certified products to ensure customer protection in the renewable energy market. She is involved in the development of new standards and policies for the Green-e Energy program. She received a B.A. from Dartmouth and a J.D. from the University of Arizona. She is on the Board of the Women's Environmental Network, and on the Leadership Committee of the Women of Wind Energy.

Karl has worked at the intersections of energy, the environment and markets for more than twenty years. He has championed and led clean energy initiatives from inside business, government and civil society in the United States and overseas. His education includes degrees in business, law, and two post-doctorate law degrees. His experience includes service in the United States Army, professor of law, Public Utility Commissioner for the State of Texas, Deputy Assistant Secretary - United States Department of Energy, with a national environmental not-for-profit, in one of the nation's leading think tanks, and now with a leading municipal electric utility.

Bob Redlinger
SunPower Corporation

Bob Redlinger is a senior project developer and leads SunPower's commercial \development in Northern California. He has over 20 years of experience in renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy economics, and energy policy. Prior to joining SunPower, Mr. Redlinger served as vice president and North American director of renewable energy for AECOM, and as director of renewable energy for Chevron Energy Solutions, where he founded and led Chevron's solar business. He has led the development and installation of photovoltaic projects for public and commercial institutions throughout California as well as over 1,000 MW of utility scale solar developments. He has authored numerous books and articles on renewable energy, including Wind Energy in the 21st Century (Palgrave/Macmillan), Tools and Methods for Integrated Resource Planning (UNEP), and the United Nations Secretary General's Report on wind energy's global market outlook. Mr. Redlinger has degrees in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Financial Economics from Stanford University and the University of London and is a registered professional civil engineer in California.

Gwynne Rogers

Gwynne's specialty, strategic analysis and planning for LOHAS related companies, evolves from her Masters in Environmental Management and MBA from Duke University. Since joining NMI in 2002, Gwynne has worked with a wide variety of clients in the US and around the world, including Ben and Jerry's, Aveda, Ford, Kimberly Clark, Seventh Generation, Pulte and EPA (Energy Star). She is an expert in understanding how consumers (of all shades of green) approach sustainability and incorporate it into their lives. She is a frequent speaker at many industry events and conferences, and her expertise is regularly utilized by consumer and trade media.

Marty Sedler

Marty Sedler is the Director of Global Utilities & Infrastructure at Intel Corporation for the past 17 years, integrating Energy Management and Energy Policy within a formal process. He and his staff are responsible for all energy supply issues, ensuring capacity, price and reliability of Utility Supplies/Infrastructure to Intel facilities worldwide. Marty leads the utility site selection component that identifies potential new locations for Intel growth worldwide. Anne-Franziska Sinner is working as an Energy Analyst for the Green-e Energy Program. She joined the Center for Resource Solutions at the end of 2010. Her professional background covers 6 years of consulting for the private and public sector in Europe, focused on sustainability challenges regarding climate change policies and carbon strategies. Her experience includes climate and energy policy advisory, corporate carbon strategies, carbon market analysis, carbon price forecasting and GHG accounting standards. She specialized on future analysis with the help of scenario-based strategic planning in the European renewable power market, the global carbon market and European emission trading. She holds a M.Sc. Civil Engineering, Focus on Energy and Environmental Management.

Gary Skulnik
Clean Currents

Gary co-founded Clean Currents after several years in the nonprofit environmental field as an advocate for clean energy solutions to global warming. He founded the Clean Energy Partnership in 2004, a non profit green business group based in Maryland, where he led efforts to market green energy to small businesses. Gary was the lead advocate for passage of the landmark 2004 Maryland Renewable Portfolio Standard. He has worked for groups such as Greenpeace, Sierra Club and the Chesapeake Climate Action Network. Gary also has a background in public relations and marketing, as well as television writing for CNN.

Sarah Smith
Green Mountain Energy Company

Sarah Smith is the Senior Environmental Analyst for Green Mountain Energy Company, the nation's leading competitive retail provider of cleaner energy and carbon offset solutions. She manages all of Green Mountain's environmental marketing claims and annual independent audits of RECs and carbon offsets. Sarah also leads Green Mountain's employee environmental group, the Green Ambassadors. She represents Green Mountain in the Renewable Energy Marketers Association and on the board of the Clean Air Force of Central Texas. Sarah holds a B.A. in Economics and Plan II Honors from the University of Texas at Austin.

Mary Sotos
The GHG Protocol at World Resources Institute

Mary Sotos is the Project Lead for the emerging Power Accounting Guidelines as part of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol suite of technical standards and resources on completing a corporate GHG inventory. Mary also supports the GHG Protocol calculation tools and co-authored the U.S. Public Sector Protocol that interprets the Corporate Standard for government operations. She graduated from St. Olaf College with a B.A. in Environmental Studies, and spent a year in Brussels, Belgium through a Fulbright Fellowship conducting research on implementing energy efficiency policies. Here, she pursued graduate coursework in Science and Environmental Management at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles.

Rachael Terada
Center for Resource Solutions

In her role as Project Manager, Rachael Terada manages the annual verification of over 30 million MWh of renewable energy transactions for Green-e Energy and oversees the annual Renewable Energy Markets conference. Other projects include carbon footprint analysis for Department of Defense facilities, technical paper development, and support for REC tracking system initiatives. Rachael began as a consultant with CRS in 2006, and joined CRS as a Project Manager in 2008. Prior to CRS, she worked in planning, engineering design, and construction management for government projects. Rachael earned her M.S. and B.S. degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Jomo Thorne
Pacific Gas and Electric Company

Jomo Thorne manages the Renewable and Clean Energy Strategy team at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), a fortune 200 company consistently recognized for its commitment to sustainability and environmental leadership. In his role Thorne actively guides the company's strategy to procure renewable energy in compliance with California's Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) mandates. Prior to his current position, Thorne lead negotiations of renewable energy power purchase agreements with third-party developers on behalf of the company. Kat came to Sterling Planet straight out of college where she led a successful environmental group and purchased thousands of wind RECs from Sterling Planet. As a student she raised $9,000 for hurricane Katrina relief and organized a large service project in Hartford Connecticut that involved more than 600 volunteers. This event was mentioned in the New York Times and earned two service awards: one from the Connecticut Department of Higher Education and a second, the Alexander A. Goldfarb Award, from the city of Hartford.

Ryan Wiser
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory

Ryan Wiser is a staff scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He leads and conducts research in the planning, design, and evaluation of renewable energy policies, and on the costs, benefits, and market potential of renewable electricity sources. Dr. Wiser has published over 300 journal articles and research reports. Prior to his employment at Berkeley Lab, Dr. Wiser worked for Hansen, McOuat, and Hamrin, Inc., the Bechtel Corporation, and the AES Corporation. He received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University and holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in Energy and Resources from the University of California, Berkeley.

Jenny Wright
Tennessee Valley Authority

Jenny has been the Product Manager for Green Power Switch since September 2010. Green Power Switch is TVA's green pricing program, available to residential and commercial customers in the seven state Tennessee Valley region. She started with TVA in February 2008 and worked in Operations and Human Resources before joining the renewable energy programs team, where she supported both Green Power Switch and Generation Partners as an analyst for two years before being promoted to Product Manager. Jenny received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Dalton State College in Dalton, Georgia.
