Coming to Atlanta for First Time

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Aug. 3, 2009 – The Renewable Energy Markets Conference (formerly the National Renewable Energy Marketing Conference) is coming to Atlanta for the first time. The renewable energy industry's premier conference will take place Sept. 13-Sept. 16 at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center.
The conference is sponsored by the Center for Resource Solutions (CRS), the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The theme of the 2009 National Renewable Energy Marketing Conference is: Leading the New Energy Economy.
"With a new administration in place focused on renewable energy, this year's conference will clearly be dynamic, informative and educational," said Arthur O'Donnell, executive director of the Center for Resource Solutions, the nonprofit organization that is the conference organizer. "REM 2009 covers the fundamentals of renewables markets for newcomers as well as going deeper into current policy, marketing and purchasing issues for seasoned professionals."
Jon Wellinghoff, the Chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), will be the keynote speaker. The Conference's six areas of focus include include: policy, utilities, fundamentals, markets and trading, marketing and claims, and purchasers.
