Commissioner, California Energy Commission. Karen Douglas has served on the CEC since 2008, and fills the Attorney position on the five-member Commission. Commissioner Douglas is the lead commissioner on power plant siting. She previously served as Director of the California Climate Initiative at EDF.

Vice President, Federal Affairs and Policy and Chief Sustainability Officer, PG&E Corporation. As PG&E's CSO, Melissa manages and directs a team responsible for PG&E's sustainability efforts and engagement, along with advising corporate leadership on how best to integrate and align PG&E's sustainability and business strategy.
Acting Administrator, Region 9, U.S. EPA. Ms. Strauss oversees a staff of 760 charged with implementation and enforcement of federal environmental laws in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, the Pacific Islands, and 148 tribal nations. From 1994 to 2012, she served as Regional Water Division Director where she led the activities under the Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act.
